newartiniWhile most people look forward to springtime, I look forward to ARTINI season, as I’d like to call it.

If you’re not familiar with ARTINI, it’s hosted by the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s 1869 Society, of which I am a member.  To learn more about the 1869 Society, click here.

ARTINI, is annual fundraising event and a celebration of sorts where the top mixologists in Washington, DC create a signature cocktail, or artini, inspired by works within the Corcoran Gallery of Art and compete to be the winner of the Critics Choice award.

ArtiniGroup_smThis year’s sixth annual fundraising event will be held on Friday, March 22nd from 8:30-midnight.  ARTINI is the perfect time to put on your trendiest, creative cocktail attire, mix and mingle with 800 of DC’s young professionals, and enjoy each of the signature artinis along with plenty of heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts.  While attending the event you’ll also have full access to the museum and will be able to view all of the collections on display.  Let me not forget, there will be a DJ playing the latest music and the dance floor is always packed.  Purchase tickets here!

VIP admission (limited to 75) is slightly more expensive but it grants one hour earlier access to all of the artinis, a VIP swag bag, along with exclusive admission into a Speakeasy-themed private area.  The private area will feature live music, B&B Jazz Duo, along with tasty snacks provided by Todd Muse of Todd Gray’s Muse at the Corcoran and Equinox.  Proceeds from ARTINI benefit the NOW at the Corcoran exhibition and performance series.  (Read: Tax Deductible)

Tickets sell out every year, weeks in advance!  So get yours before it’s too late!  Purchase yours here! (Shameless plug, please say “RaShonda” referred you)

Let’s not forget, leading up to the event, there are a series of 8 ARTINI Feature Nights where you’ll have the opportunity to meet each of the mixologist and taste their artini.  The Feature Nights are free to attend!  Proceeds from bar sales and raffle tickets at each event will also benefit the NOW at the Corcoran exhibition and performance series.
